now that's news...

i've been desperately racking my brain trying to come up with something interesting and humorous to post on this blog to show you that i am still alive; and then some real news comes along... you should all check out Josiah Reid Supercinski. he's the callipygous new addition to the Thomas & Rachel family. I don't know if everyone has heard the real story of how little Josiah got his name, so i'll tell it here on Joshlangston.com. it seems that out of love for his former roommate, and out of respect for Joshua of the old-testament and Jesus (who's name is another version of "Joshua"), Thomas S. decided to name his first-born Joshua Reid Supercinski. What he didn't bargain for was the sheer exhaustion and delirium that comes with the labor and delivery of a first child. When Thomas was prompted to fill out the child's birth certificate, his deteriorated mental and physical status apparently led him to hesitantly misspell "Joshua" as "Josuah", an understandable mistake, simply having forgotten the proper place for the "H". Because he had made the fatal error of filling out the form in pen (and we all know that there is only one shot at filling out birth certificates) he had to make the best of the situation and since Josuah wasn't very pronounceable he was able to mold the "U" into an "I" and thus welcome Josiah Reid Supercinski into the world. You heard it first here on Joshlangston.com.

*the entirety of this story is satirical and the author of joshlangston.com would like to officially welcome King Josiah into the world with the utmost in excitement and joy.

welcome

This blog is the chronicle of my adventures to Europe and Asia from Febuary to June of 2005. Why you ask am I going? I'd like to say the Chinese government invited me, or that the World Health Organization sent me as a special envoy..but, it's just an internship option that was made available to me through (duh, duh, DUH!!)* The Academy of Future International Leaders at Texas A&M. so..I asked my parents to sit down with me and ask all the question that they could think of about my trip, ya know, so that they would feel informed. After saying 'I don't know' to eight questions my father went back to watching television..the truth is I don't know much. But I know it will be an adventure and I know I'll be in China for three months working at a hospital and then Europe (starting in Paris) from May 17--June 16 of 2005. (by myself as of the moment...let me know if you are going to be there.) So I welcome you one and all and invite you to join in the fun.** I hope to post daily or every other day so check back compulsively..

* Said in the voice of Maury Ballstein. (yes..on Zoolander)(I feel like a name that fancy needs some introduction)
** The person who posts the most comments on the blog while I'm gone will get a special prize from China!!
